In the Midst of Chaos
Were you flying yesterday? If so, I’m sorry. If you were sitting on terra firma, all the better for you. Flew from STL to Orlando yesterday and battled through (literally) thousands of other passengers. In a security line that snaked for what felt like miles, the passengers in front of me struck up a conversation about Carson. They were so chipper that I wondered if they’d been able to skip the endless baggage check line, or if they were perhaps high on drugs. Turns out they were neither – just southern. I’m always impressed by folks who keep their calm during chaos. I consider myself one of these people. But keeping calm is different from not being effected at all. And props to these folks! And if you’re flying the next two days or so – two hours before your flight ain’t just a suggestion: it’s a necessity.
