Truth Will Stand On It’s Own
I’ve been reading “Bias” by Bernard Goldberg, long time CBS correspondent. He gave a quote from the renowned American theologian, Reinhold Nieber, that(unbeknownst to me), I’ve been living my life by for a while now. Here goes:
“Frantic orthodoxy is never rooted in faith, but in doubt”
Is there any sort of franticness that is not based in fear, orthodox or not? When franticness enters, almost inevitably, logic and rationality have gone out the window, leaving a frantic, distressed, fearful M.O.
When franticness is turned away from, it allows one to sit, think, rationalize and(hopefully) come to a decision that is solid and comfortable.
