You Are Not Alone
Friends, today is Trauma Survivors Day. If you happened to see my Facebook and Twitter and Instagram posts, you already know this.
One thing we trauma survivors don’t usually do very well is network. We know we’ve been through horrific experiences, but how do we begin to talk about those things? And with whom? We know we don’t want to make the trauma the central focus of life, but we also know that some injuries, do, in fact, govern every aspect of life. Those wounds aren’t always physical, either.
On this Trauma Survivors Day, I want to encourage you to reach out and ask for help if you need it. People DO care. You are not alone. And, remember…stay strong. It’s not easy, it’s not fun, but stay strong.
