Marcus Engel Earns the Certified Speaking Professional® Designation
(Orlando, FL – July 30, 2015) – Marcus Engel, bestselling author, speaker and founder of the “I’m Here Movement,” has earned the Certified Speaking Professional® (CSP) designation. Established in 1980, the CSP is the speaking profession’s international measure of speaking experience and skill. Little more than 12 percent of the speakers worldwide hold this professional designation.
The CSP designation is conferred by NSA on accomplished professional speakers who have earned it by meeting strict criteria. CSPs must document a proven track record of continuing speaking experience and expertise, as well as a commitment to ongoing education, outstanding client service, and ethical behavior. Engel is one of a select few professionals worldwide to earn the CSP in the class of 2015. Engel was honored during a ceremony on July 18 at the 2015 NSA Convention in Washington, D.C.
Engel is a respected author and speaker who specializes in increasing compassionate communication. Founder of the “I’m Here Movement” a 501(c)3 which is designed to change the culture of healthcare by the use of two simple words: I’m Here. Engel’s work is rooted in his personal story of recovery from a drunk driving crash where he was left totally blinded and near death. His account of the recovery is chronicled in his first book, “After This… An Inspirational Journey for All the Wrong Reasons.” He has gone on to author several more books, including, “I’m Here: Compassionate Communication” and “The Other End of the Stethoscope: Insights for Excellent Patient Care.” His books are routinely used in hospitals and nursing schools where he is an in demand speaker.
